Wenceslas T. Djokpé has been a specialist in project management for more than 13 years. He has held various leadership positions in the implementation of several development projects in Benin, specifically, towards the goal of empowering vulnerable adolescent girls.
Since August 2016, Mr. Djokpé has been the Benin Country Director of the Batonga Foundation, founded by the 3-time Grammy winner singer, Angelique Kidjo. In this role, he provides appropriate technical and strategic leadership for the quality and success of Batonga project interventions. He also ensures the implementation of the mission and vision of the Batonga Foundation, so that all girls and women can thrive in Benin.
With his team in Benin and the management team in Washington DC, Mr. Djokpé coordinates the SONAFA programme, which aims to identify the most vulnerable, marginalised and disadvantaged girls in Benin by using the Girl Roster tool. A total of 3,663 girls, aged 10-26, are accompanied through 126 Leadership Girl Clubs across 15 villages in Benin.
