Verónica Frisancho

Verónica Frisancho is a Senior Research Economist in the Research Department of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). Verónica’s work can best be described as applied microeconomics, and her main field of specialisation is Development Economics. Her research in these areas includes an emphasis on education, labour markets in developing countries, domestic violence and financial inclusion.

She has published chapters in books and has both published and refereed for several international peer-reviewed journals. Veronica has presented her work in several specialised conferences for academics and policymakers from around the world. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Universidad del Pacífico in Lima, Peru.
