Mr. Martin Canter is a practical implementer of education programming, with a focus on rights-based approaches to quality education at the classroom and school level, particularly for girls and children with disabilities.

Currently,  he serves as Technical Specialist – Education at Plan International UK. Owing to his extensive practical programme implementation experience in South-east Asia and West Africa, Mr. Canter views education programming from a collaborative and holistic perspective, where students, school personnel, parents and community actors work together to co-construct effective initiatives.

His particular areas of interest are around mentoring and capacity-building within the teacher-professional development frameworks, along with a deep involvement in the power of qualitative evaluations and participant-led monitoring.
