Hangwi Liphadzi is a South African Researcher, who is currently working for the Banking Association South Africa (BASA) under the Financial Inclusion division. His research is focused on three broad areas that seek to facilitate greater financial inclusion, namely, Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) development, consumer financial education and general transformation of the banking industry. In addition, Mr Liphadzi is part of StarSaver^TM, a banking industry financial education initiative that teaches children of school-going age to save.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics degree and Master of Laws both from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Mr Liphadzi is an avid casual footballer in his personal life and recently summited Mount Kilimanjaro.
